Porsche 356 Speedster

Hello Mario, 

the package arrived just in time for Easter, so I was able to install MD-Lamda View directly with my new carburetors.

I am generally very happy with the product and would recommend it at any time.

I have a bit more constructive feedback for you:

​

- The box is really small. I would have imagined it to be bigger. It can be safely stored anywhere, even when there is no space. Thank God there is enough space for me.

​

- It might be helpful to have two to four eyelets for cable ties so that you can fix them securely. This runs the risk of the box slipping out of the cable tie.

​

- Since the top of the box sinks in a bit over the plugs, the plugs are very difficult to loosen.

​

- Installation is child's play thanks to the very good instructions. I also use the speed signal and throttle valve sensor. I designed and printed a bracket especially for this purpose. If you have other customers with VW Type 1 (i.e. the classic Beetle engine) with CSP torque linkage, I can provide the files)

​

- The device works right away and the connection works reliably (apart from the fact that the Wi-Fi password on the enclosed piece of paper was not correct, but the handwritten one on the box itself was).

​

- The adaptation of the throttle valve sensor also works inversely (value for Throttle_Low greater than Throttle_High). This is very useful if you have connected the sensor with reverse polarity.

​

- The software runs stably and does what it is supposed to.

​

- Unfortunately, I had two disconnections when the engine almost went out once and once completely while driving. I would attribute this to short-term undervoltage. A voltage regulator with a larger input tolerance may help in the next hardware.

What hasn't worked for me yet is the MD-Pico.

The device does not automatically connect to MD-Lamda View.

I can put MD-Pico in access point mode and then (sporadically) find the WLAN. However, I don't have the password to connect.

Maybe you have a tip for me here.

Otherwise, as I said, I am very happy that there is finally such a device and can only express my greatest respect for the work you have done so far.

I am an engineer myself and can therefore roughly assess what it means to develop a device to this extent and then bring it to market.
